AccommodationsThe conference will be held at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego, California. The Hard Rock Hotel is located approximately 4 miles away from the San Diego International Airport (SAN). A reduced conference rate of $239 per night is available to conference attendees until
Monday, Jan. 21, 2019. Reservations may be made
online or by calling 877-344-ROCK (7625) and requesting the conference rate for the AACR Special Conference: Modernizing Population Sciences in the Digital Age. The hotel will accept reservations at the reduced conference rate on a space-available basis until the cut-off date. Reservations made after this date will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at the nearest available rate. Applied to the room charge will be state and local taxes, currently at 10.5%, an Occupancy Tax of 2.0%, and a San Diego Tourism Marketing District Assessment, with State Tourism Fee of $.40 per night. Reservations must be guaranteed by a first night room deposit at the time of reservation. Cancellations less than 72 hours prior to arrival will result in a charge equal to one night’s room and tax. Note that check-in time is 4 p.m., and check-out time is 11 a.m.
