Radiation Science and Medicine Working Group
The AACR Radiation Science and Medicine (RSM) Working Group fosters cross-disciplinary interactions worldwide between radiation oncologists, radiation biologists, medical physicists, and cancer researchers in other fields through AACR programs and initiatives designed to support the involvement of radiation science and medicine efforts in all applicable pursuits to understand and treat cancer malignancies.
Working Group Goals
- Support young radiation investigators to increase the number of radiation oncologists and biologists actively engaged in cancer research;
- Advocate for increased funding for radiation-related cancer researchers;
- Reinforce the importance of radiation science and medicine within drug development infrastructures, including pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries and the FDA; and
- Foster cross-disciplinary interactions between radiation oncologists, radiation biologists, medical physicists and cancer researchers in other scientific fields.
How to Join RSM
Membership in the Radiation Science and Medicine Working Group is open to all interested AACR members.
AACR members may indicate their wish to join the RSM Working Group via the AACR annual dues invoice sent to members each winter, or by contacting the staff liaison listed below.
