Dr. Roussel is a Member of the Department of Tumor Cell Biology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (SJCRH) and Professor in the Department of Molecular Sciences at the University of Tennessee.  She leads the Cancer Biology Program of the SJCRH Comprehensive Cancer Center and holds an Endowed Chair in Molecular Carcinogenesis.  Dr. Roussel was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2011 and was ranked as one of the 50 top French personalities in the USA.  She serves on the NCI Board of Scientific Advisors.  Her broad research interests cover many aspects of cancer biology including the roles of oncogenes and tumor suppressors, mitogenic signaling and cell cycle control, with particular emphasis on the molecular etiology and therapy of pediatric tumors of the central nervous system.
